What this site is for
This site is meant to make the federal Inspector General system easier to inspect: when offices were created, how they fit into the IG Act framework, whether they have law-enforcement authority, how they should be counted, and where historical details remain complicated or uncertain.
This site is not an official resource of CIGIE, any federal Office of Inspector General, or any government institution. It is maintained independently and should be checked against primary sources before citation or reliance.
